Funding Support

Funding support

PHMC doesn't provide funding, but does the next best thing!

Use PHMC to help you find, access and manage grants and other forms of public funding

Challenge

Every successful product is the fruit of hard work, and this applies to every field of business. It also applies to getting funds for your project. There are many, many funding schemes for Smaller Firms, so many different eligibility criteria, so many hoops to jump through. Funds from Europe (even now), from government departments, even large corporate social responsibility budgets can help small firms grow and improve. But where to start? Surprisingly there's no centralised register where all grants are listed. Your local Business Growth Hub could be useful, as can the information on PHMC's  Funding page, but if you want pragmatic, hands-on and completely impartial support, Paul Hesp's your man.

PHMC's Support Approach

If we both agree that using PHMC is the best course of action, you'll find my style to be flexible. I'll document your expression of interest and funding application as we go, taking care of loose ends for you, identifying information you need to provide, presenting it all in the best way possible. We'll have meetings with very specific objectives. I'll carry out research and additional deskwork as required. I can produce competent cashflow, profit and loss and balance sheet forecasts if and when required. You'll feel part of the process, but not a slave to it. You'll own the application, but I'll do the leg work. You'll find me easily accessible by phone and by email, even at stupid times of night and at weekends. I'll often offer you no-win no-fee terms, and my support will extend, for no additional fee, to all the admin required for specific grants, including preparing multiple grant claims and monitoring reports. It's all included, so you can carry on with your day job.

Value and Professional Integrity

PHMC doesn't charge you for telling you what schemes can help you, and that's great if you have the skills, confidence and time to do a good job of applying. Most grants are competitive, and usually come with caveats of job creation and other priorities; do you know how to present an irresistible business case? It may be that you can do a good job yourself, and if I think you can, I'll give you a couple of tips, and suggest you crack on. If not, PHMC can provide you with a paid-for service to gain a grant offer, and an ongoing service to help you manage the reporting and claims processes for larger projects. This may often be offered on a no-win no-fee basis. It'll be absolutely clear what costs apply- no hidden charges, and no ambiguity. If you have no chance, I'll tell you that rather than waste time. That costs nothing!
